The world famous temple was first a Hindu one, dedicated to Vishnu. In the 14th or 15th century, as Buddhism swept across Asia, it became a Buddhist temple.<br />The Western world’s got a glimpse of Angkor Wat when a 16th century Portuguese monk visited the temple and eloquently described it as "of such extraordinary construction that it is not possible to describe it with a pen, particularly since it is like no other building in the world. It has towers and decoration and all the refinements which the human genius can conceive of." His words still rang true today.anggonohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16908317356463890541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1848531682035072023.post-24680205426688050552011-04-19T21:19:00.000-07:002011-04-19T21:24:10.890-07:00Vishnu Temple of Srirangam<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3372/3238521354_ed4f008a6a.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3372/3238521354_ed4f008a6a.jpg" alt="Vishnu Temple of Srirangam" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://explorehimalyas.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/srirangam-temple-pillars.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://explorehimalyas.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/srirangam-temple-pillars.jpg" alt="Vishnu Temple of Srirangam" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.trichytaxi.com/images/Visit-Srirangam-Temple-in-Trichy.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://www.trichytaxi.com/images/Visit-Srirangam-Temple-in-Trichy.jpg" alt="Vishnu Temple of Srirangam" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://wikitravel.org/upload/shared/9/92/Sri_Ranganathasvamy_temple_in_Tiruchirapalli.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://wikitravel.org/upload/shared/9/92/Sri_Ranganathasvamy_temple_in_Tiruchirapalli.jpg" alt="Vishnu Temple of Srirangam" border="0" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3275/2363905550_4d32651998_o.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3275/2363905550_4d32651998_o.jpg" alt="Vishnu Temple of Srirangam" border="0" /></a><span style="color: rgb(51, 255, 51); font-weight: bold; font-family: arial;">Vishnu Temple of Srirangam</span><br /></div><br /><br /><span style="font-size:100%;">The Temple of Srirangam (Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, in the Indian city of Tiruchirapalli (or Trichy), is the largest functioning Hindu temple in the world (Ankor Wat is the largest of all temple, but it is currently non-functioning as a temple – see below).<br />The temple is dedicated to Vishnu, one of three Gods in Hinduism. For the Sikhs, the Golden Temple symbolizes infinite freedom and spiritual independence.<br />The site of the Temple began with a small lake that was so peaceful that even Buddha came there to meditate. Thousands of years later, Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism also lived and meditate by the lake.<br />Construction of the Golden Temple began in the 1500s, when the fourth Guru of Sikhism enlarged the lake that became Amritsar or Pool of the Nectar of Immortality, around which the temple and the city grew. The Temple itself is decorated with marble sculptures, gilded in gold, and covered in precious stones.</span>anggonohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16908317356463890541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1848531682035072023.post-2606799946480114962011-04-19T20:55:00.000-07:002011-04-19T21:03:22.755-07:00Chion in Temple<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.bestourism.com/img/items/big/259/Chion-in-in-Japan_The-temple-at-night_1190.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://www.bestourism.com/img/items/big/259/Chion-in-in-Japan_The-temple-at-night_1190.jpg" alt="Chion in Temple" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://explorehimalyas.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/chionin-bell.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://explorehimalyas.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/chionin-bell.jpg" alt="Chion in Temple" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://fadlymicel.files.wordpress.com/2010/05/kyoto-chionin-temple.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://fadlymicel.files.wordpress.com/2010/05/kyoto-chionin-temple.jpg" alt="Chion in Temple" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3638/3403719429_f4e9f75071.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3638/3403719429_f4e9f75071.jpg" alt="Chion in Temple" border="0" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3WpAh2rJEtjT6angzhFAU187F6Y2idG899EqfiC6m-DHc6-PuIlm9sjReDLSrdGEAVppqEzPtvaFKE_fKaw9kRnCp5kmVHhWlMc-0Qw-Cvx4obm528L2v4_br-bvbYS078xCcuTAzwzO7/s1600/chionin-main-gate.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3WpAh2rJEtjT6angzhFAU187F6Y2idG899EqfiC6m-DHc6-PuIlm9sjReDLSrdGEAVppqEzPtvaFKE_fKaw9kRnCp5kmVHhWlMc-0Qw-Cvx4obm528L2v4_br-bvbYS078xCcuTAzwzO7/s1600/chionin-main-gate.jpg" alt="Chion in Temple" border="0" /></a><span style="color: rgb(51, 255, 51); font-weight: bold; font-family: arial;">Chion in Temple</span><br /></div><br /><span style="font-size:85%;"><br />Chion in Temple was built in 1234 CE to honor the founder of Jodo (Pure Land) Buddhism, a priest named Honen, who fasted to death in the very spot. But when it comes to the Shwedagon Pagoda, golden literally means covered in gold! In the 15th century, a queen of the Mon people donated her weight in gold to the temple. The spacious white sand and textures of coral reefs is the most interesting attraction that the beach can give to its visitors. In fact, Krakal is scheduled to be the biggest tourism beach in Yogyakarta, similar to that of Nusa Dua in Bali.anggonohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16908317356463890541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1848531682035072023.post-69961211772613893222011-04-01T21:07:00.000-07:002011-04-01T21:31:05.644-07:00Beautiful Siung Beach<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.moreindonesia.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Siung-Beach-II-500x375.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://www.moreindonesia.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Siung-Beach-II-500x375.jpg" alt="Beautiful Siung Beach" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj46sFu9SXHHqxBxKaCzbkD1QuFa8mPvNyPWTi97tV4EYqO5ccnmdXGag9Q4CShppnALGr6yipKMqEoZ6-G1s1R81UwJoGIbQ4Csy8yfPJTQu67zoGrMcOBpMCxLHXrIFpLSMaU8agf1zpe/s1600/pantai+siung.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj46sFu9SXHHqxBxKaCzbkD1QuFa8mPvNyPWTi97tV4EYqO5ccnmdXGag9Q4CShppnALGr6yipKMqEoZ6-G1s1R81UwJoGIbQ4Csy8yfPJTQu67zoGrMcOBpMCxLHXrIFpLSMaU8agf1zpe/s1600/pantai+siung.jpg" alt="Beautiful Siung Beach" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRmbIxl69t9xefpEkvQ07ZnrSw3scviqSG8fATI4GQsP2OWCRFsl3kN05ht7jhR1r3sVFlPdPIAdXqrsgRh-hKsZ0Lq8RESJJAgbl1O9kvPZdAxtvy08esmvdYCEyRrH-BEeaptuKmSr0L/s1600/pantai+siung+2.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRmbIxl69t9xefpEkvQ07ZnrSw3scviqSG8fATI4GQsP2OWCRFsl3kN05ht7jhR1r3sVFlPdPIAdXqrsgRh-hKsZ0Lq8RESJJAgbl1O9kvPZdAxtvy08esmvdYCEyRrH-BEeaptuKmSr0L/s1600/pantai+siung+2.jpg" alt="Beautiful Siung Beach" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://mbiru.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/wsiung1.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://mbiru.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/wsiung1.jpg" alt="Beautiful Siung Beach" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_JCtUJAYPCPE/SpjV6j_VPmI/AAAAAAAAAUM/OAd_7oNBhpU/s1600/Kuda%2BLaut%2B%283%29%2B5.11a%2B-%2BSiung%2BBeach,%2BIndonesia.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_JCtUJAYPCPE/SpjV6j_VPmI/AAAAAAAAAUM/OAd_7oNBhpU/s1600/Kuda%2BLaut%2B%283%29%2B5.11a%2B-%2BSiung%2BBeach,%2BIndonesia.jpg" alt="Beautiful Siung Beach" border="0" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><div style="text-align: center; color: rgb(255, 255, 255); font-weight: bold; font-family: arial;">Beautiful Siung Beach<br /></div><br />Trip tourism vacation holiday in beach is fun. It was built on the south slopes of Mount Agung, the principal volcano of Bali. The temple is actually a complex made up of twenty-two temples that sit on parallel ridges. It has stepped terraces and flights of stairs which ascend to a number of courtyards and brick gateways that lead up to the main spire Meru structure, which is called Pura Penataran Agung. All this is aligned along a single axis and designed to lead the spiritual upward and closer to the mountain which is considered sacred.<br />The symbolic center or main sanctuary of the complex is the Pura Penataran Agung and and the lotus throne or padmasana is the symbolic center of the main sanctuary and ritual focus of the entire complex. It dates to around the seventeenth century.<br />A series of eruptions of Mount Agung in 1963, which killed approximately 1,700 people] also threatened Puru Besakih. The lava flows missed the temple complex by mere meters. The saving of the temple is regarded by the Balinese people as miraculous, and a signal from the gods that they wished to demonstrate their power but not destroy the monument the Balinese faithful had erected.<br />Annually there are at least seventy festivals held at the complex each year since there is a yearly anniversary celebrating almost every shrine. This yearly cycle is based on the 210-day Balinese calendar system.<br /><br />Source by : Wikipedia.comanggonohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16908317356463890541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1848531682035072023.post-59015132912324631082011-03-29T22:21:00.000-07:002011-03-29T22:26:11.196-07:00Pura In Bratan Lake And Mount Catur<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.cuti.com.my/Sub/indonesia/Bali/bratan_lake.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://www.cuti.com.my/Sub/indonesia/Bali/bratan_lake.jpg" alt="Pura In Bratan Lake And Mount Catur" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://mbiru.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Pura-Danau-Bratan.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://mbiru.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Pura-Danau-Bratan.jpg" alt="Pura In Bratan Lake And Mount Catur" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://wikitravel.org/upload/en/0/07/Temple_Ulun_Danu_Bratan_Bedugul.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://wikitravel.org/upload/en/0/07/Temple_Ulun_Danu_Bratan_Bedugul.JPG" alt="Pura In Bratan Lake And Mount Catur" border="0" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://mbiru.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Pura-Bratan.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://mbiru.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Pura-Bratan.jpg" alt="Pura In Bratan Lake And Mount Catur" border="0" /></a><span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255); font-weight: bold; font-family: arial;">Pura In Bratan Lake And Mount Catur</span><br /></div><br /><br />Bratan Lake is located next to Mount Bratan and Mount Catur. It is the second largest lake in Bali. Filling the crater of the inactive volcano Mount Catur, Bratan Lake sits at over 1,200 meters above sea level. The important temple of Pura Ulun Danu solemnly guards the lake. The resort area of Bedugul offers excellent views of the lake, as well as a number of water activities. Providing a cool retreat from the hot and humid regions of Bali, its shores provide the traveler with hotels and restaurants and its cool waters offer parasailing, water-skiing, banana-boat rides and other water sports. Some Japanese caves across the lake were dug during World War II. While in the area hike to the beautiful shrines that dot the lakeshore and forested hills around the lake or visit the beautiful Pura Ulun Danu Bratan.anggonohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16908317356463890541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1848531682035072023.post-79155945191173902222011-03-29T22:15:00.000-07:002011-03-29T22:21:18.458-07:00nusa lembongan island<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0GTK2A5SyhEjAF8xDIO3UzCjef8SBFJRqywQ-SgJhhztYVoRpAxyO5QGh94s11hqMChEPl-utZcyoJp7LuWmOr2zWBDFpMZ3RpY939E-Lw0MuS2WD9EbiwxXW8KuYrSjpvsHyfSgvMGmT/s400/Nusa-Lembongan-Island.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0GTK2A5SyhEjAF8xDIO3UzCjef8SBFJRqywQ-SgJhhztYVoRpAxyO5QGh94s11hqMChEPl-utZcyoJp7LuWmOr2zWBDFpMZ3RpY939E-Lw0MuS2WD9EbiwxXW8KuYrSjpvsHyfSgvMGmT/s400/Nusa-Lembongan-Island.jpg" alt="nusa lembongan island" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.lembonganreef.com/images/beach.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://www.lembonganreef.com/images/beach.jpg" alt="nusa lembongan island" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://images.imagestate.com/Watermark/2223147.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://images.imagestate.com/Watermark/2223147.jpg" alt="nusa lembongan island" border="0" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://www.baliandbeyond.co.id/bnb_sept_09/images/photos/action-attraction/nusa-lembongan32.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://www.baliandbeyond.co.id/bnb_sept_09/images/photos/action-attraction/nusa-lembongan32.jpg" alt="nusa lembongan island" border="0" /></a><span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255); font-weight: bold; font-family: arial;">nusa lembongan island</span><br /></div><br /><br />Administratively, the island is part of a subdistrict of Klungkung regency. An extensive bathing place on the site was not excavated until the 1950s.
